The list of blunders being and total unprofessionalism shown by J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) is piling up this season and changing Ranji Trophy physiotherapist mid season is another addition to the list.
For JKCA sending officials and team support staff with the team on tours is turning out as adjustment list wherein no criteria is seen or being employed. To fulfill the quota JKCA keep rotating persons devoid of any proper criteria or qualification.
Except two persons who no one knows fulfill what criteria, JKCA has changed whole support staff since J&K senior teams first national level outing in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Latest addition to the change is not sending regular Physiotherapist of the team Dr. Aijaz Chillo with the Ranji trophy team. Soon after the end of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy, JKCA appointed new physiotherapist for the team, sidelining the experienced Dr Aijaz Chillo.
While JKCA is not touching those two unwanted additions in the support staff list, it definitely has an eye on rest of the support staff. With no one to answer in JKCA in the absence of proper body, the few persons at the helm are taking decision in the dictatorial fashion.
“It is mockery in the name of running cricket affairs. While you are not touching the unwanted persons in the support staff you are changing the essential part mid season. Physiotherapist who has been part of the team whole season knows, anatomy, body requirement of each and every player in the team. The said persons has been monitoring every players since the beginning of the season and new Physio in mid season would have no knowledge of that,” said a former cricketer.
“The persons at the helm are taking unprofessionalism decision for the sake of taking decisions and making changes to full fill the quota and satisfy everyone. They say Dr Aijaz went with other teams and now it is time to send other person with Ranji team. It is mockery in the name of running cricket affairs. At the same time they have not touched the two unwanted elements in the team support staff,” he added.
Another former cricketer said that changing Physio mid season will have detrimental effect on the fitness of players.
“We are already seeing the result of changing physio mid season. It is learnt that Ram Dayal has got injured. It surely is the outcome of this idiotic decision of changing physio mid season by JKCA,” he said.
