The Lunatic Fringe was one of the company’s biggest stars as he is a former WWE Champion who built a large fanbase thanks to his stunning in-ring skills, impressive gimmick and explosive mic skills.
However, reports suggest that he grew frustrated from the lacklustre booking he was getting and the poor direction his character had taken. The WWE Grand Slam Champion hasn’t confirmed his future plans but hinted that he may take a break from the gruelling schedule of professional wrestling.
Ambrose told WWE.com: “Eight years ago, I walked into this casino. “Now I’m cashing in my chips and I’m walking away from the table. “I won the game. “What I do with the rest of my life from here on out is my business.
“I answer to no one. “This time the ‘Million Dollar Man’ didn’t get what he wanted. “Because I can’t be bought.” WWE have stated that they would love to have Ambrose back to the roster one day.
