Jamiya Tariq of Delhi Public School, Srinagar has bagged the silver medal in the State Wushu Championship which was held in Jammu from April 23rd to 27th-2019. 

She defeated Romona of Srinagar in the weight Category ‘above 24’ and age category ‘U-12’. More than 400 participants from across the districts of the state participated in the games. Principal Alistair R A Freese congratulated her, and declared “Her achievement at such a tender age shows her immense grit and dedication. The School is delighted with her performance.”

The Chairman, Vijay Dhar also expressed his happiness: “I am glad that our students showcase before the world the immense effort we put in building and strengthening character in our students.” Other teachers have also conveyed their congratulations.
