DPS Srinagar wins the Under-17 Inter-School Basketball tournament

LocalDPS Srinagar wins the Under-17 Inter-School Basketball tournament

Srinagar: Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar has emerged winner of the Under-17 Inter-School basketball tournament.

The event was organised by District Srinagar Youth Service and Sports at Gindun Stadium Rajbagh.
In the final DPS Srinagar thrashed Tyndale Biscoe School by 49-10 baskets.

Earlier in the semi-finals, DPS Srinagar defeated Burn Hall School to secure their place in the finals.

Commenting on the win, Principal Shafaq Afshan said, “It is a great pleasure for us that our students continue to enrich our legacy in sporting excellence. Congratulations to the winners.”

Chairman Vijay Dhar congratulated the winning team and said, “A healthy mind exists in a healthy body and both are vital to a healthy society. At DPS Srinagar we are committed to the idea of creating a healthy and thriving society, and this win stands as proof of our commitment. Congratulations to all.”
