Selection trials for selecting J&K Dragon Boat team for the senior national championship was held at Water Sports Centre Nehru Park Srinagar on June 30.

The selection trials for both male and female sections was held by J&K State Sports Council. Selected players would be representing State in Senior Dragon Boat championship scheduled to be held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in July.

The trials were held under the observation of Manager Sheri-Kashmir Indoor Stadium Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar who was appointed as observer by the Sorts Council while as overall trials were held under supervision of sports Council water sports coach Bilquis Mir.

“Water Sports has been bringing laurels for our State from last many years. With Kashmir having water bodies were water sports activities can be held we are trying our best to utilize our all resources. In these trials players from different districts of State and not just Srinagar participated. We are hopeful selected players will bring medals for the State,” Mushtaq Zargar said.
