Cricket fans across Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday came up with various reactions as Rasikh Salam wasn’t included in Mumbai Indians’ playing XI against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.

Rasikh made his IPL debut on Sunday, giving away 42 runs in his quota of four overs. The pacer received applauds from one and all for controlling the pressure and bowling some special deliveries in his very first match.

The 17-year-old, however, has been rested for the second match, being replaced by spinner, Mayank Markande. Since, the side was playing with just one spin bowler, Markande’s addition was on cards.

The Rohit Sharma-led team also brought in the experienced campaigner, Lasith Malinga in place of Ben Cutting in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, the cricket enthusiasts in Jammu and Kashmir came up with multiple type of reactions over Rasikh’s exclusion in the team.

“Pehla match is ka akhri match tha”, Manzoor Bhat wrote on Facebook.

“Bad news”, Adil Ali, Dar Tajalla commented.

“Now he will serve water in whole tournament…” Firdous Gassi asserted.

Some fans drafted positive conclusions as well.

“Playing IPL at the age of 17 and not having much experience to play on turf wicket is a Big achievement for young Rasik. Being in the squad he will definitely get more chances in future.” Nisar Khan wrote.

“Good for him . Had there been a bad performance from him against RCB ; his confidence would have been shattered which was likely to be as kohli , Devillers , Hetmyer n others would pounce on .Let him have introspection what was wrong against DC n gain confidence by working on that n play .” Shabir Ahmad Ahanger explained.
