JKCA General Secretary Iqbal Shah inaugurated the much awaited Gani Kashmiri Super League on Tuesday at Gani Memorial Stadium, Rajouri Kadal, here. Odo Spartans emerged winner in the inaugural match against Vadi Kashmir by nine wickets.
The championship was inaugurated by JKCA General Secretary, Iqbal Shah alongwith JKCA Vice President Javed Kitab and DCL Secretary Naseer Ahmad.
In the first match , Odo Spartans outplayed Vadi Kashmir by 9 wickets. Batting first Vadi Kashmir got all out for 123 runs. Umer Nabi scored 35 and Mudassir scored 33 for them while as Mehfooz took four wickets and Faizan took hattrick for Odo.
In reply Odo Spartans achieved required target for the loss of only one wicket. Mohsin Ramzan scored 50 not out and Suhail scored 37 not out for them. Mohsin was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Srinagar Cricket Club defeated Adlife Stars. Batting first Srinagar club scored 132 runs. Sajad scored 19 and Sahil scored 22 for them. Nadeem took three wickets for Adlife.
In reply Adlife got all out for 104 runs. Mutahar took three wickets and Reyaz also took three for Srinagar Club. Mutahir was adjudged as man of the match.
