Ghani Gliders Sports Club has decided to include Mahmood Ahmad Shah (Director Tourism), Parvez Rasool (cricketer), Bilques Mir (Water Sports Coach), Majid Yousuf Dar (footballer), Altaf ur Rehman (Physical Director Islamia College), Sameer Ali (senior cricketer), M Afzal Parray, Iqbal Fayaz Jan, Ahsan Ali, Arhad Aziz, Vicky Shaw (golfer), Rashid Makhdoomi, Shahana Fatima, Rifat Abdullah and Muzaffer Ahmad Khan as its members. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the president of the club, Mushtaq Chaya.
During the meeting it was also decided to organize Ramadhan cricket cup from June 20 at Islamia College ground and Gani Memorial Stadium Rajouri Kadal.
For the event club has invited all the players and club of the Valley for participation. The final of the event would be played after Eid, said secretary Ghani Gliders Club.
“We at Ghani Gliders Sports Club believe that sports are necessary as much as education is. It brings in one a discipline and teaches him how to lead life healthy,” said Zahoor Ahmad Tramboo.
