LocalGujarat crush sorry J&K by 8-wkts

The all-round display by Gujarat lead by Parthiv Patel outplayed J&K in both departments as they romp to 8-wicket win in the Vijay Hazare match at Chennai on September 30.jk

After bundling out JK for 123 run total Gujarat strolled to win in 21 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. It is 5th straight loss for JK in the event so far and they look miserable.

JK went into match with three changes, bringing in Umar Nazir, Pranav Gupta, Shubham Pundir in place of Amir Aziz, Paras Sharma and Auquib Nabi.

Despite some positives, J&K again showed that they lack the mentality of big games as they collapsed from 106/4 to 123 all out.

For JK Ian Dev before getting run out had scored 35 while as Shubham Khajuria scored 27, Irfan Pathan 22 and Parvez Rasool 20. For Gujarat Piyush Chawla took 3 wickets.

In reply Gujarat chase was lead by Parthiv Patel. He put on 50 run stand with PK Panchal for opening wicket before Parthiv fell to Umar Nazir.  They lost their second wicket on 94 with Waseem Raza getting Panchal.

However BH Merai and R H Bhat ensured no further loss of wicket to take their team home. Merai remained not out on 43 from 35 while as PK Panchal scored 49.
