Srinagar, October 08: High profile cricketers of Srinagar Thursday reached SK Stadium and asked why weren’t they picked in the district team for the ongoing inter-district tourney.

Players including Abid Nabi, Adil Reshi, Qamran Iqbal, Asif Khan, Zahoor Sofi and several others, who have been playing top-level cricket for years, weren’t been picked in the team.

To protest against their exclusion, some of them this morning visited SK Stadium to seek answers.

“We simply went there and asked them what is the reason of not keeping us in the district team.” Abid Nabi said.

They, however, have been now told that another team from Srinagar will be added to the tournament.

“After hours of arguments and drama, we were told that another Srinagar team will be made,” Abid said.
