Anantnag, December 05: Hundreds of buddig cricketers Saturday turned up to attend the trials conducted by former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina at Doru, here.
Players from all-over the Kashmir had thronged to trials with an aim of making it to the shortlisted bunch who will later be trained in various units of Suresh Raina Cricket Academy.
“Some 500-600 cricketers had reached to attend the trials. Raina was overwhelmed to see the response,” a J&K Sports Council told KSW.
“Now, another trial camp will be held tomorrow at Mattan and later in Jammu,” official added.
Kashmir’s lone international cricketer Parvez Rasool and some Sports Council officials were also present at the event.
Raina, who recently announced retirement from international cricket, signed an MoU with J&K Sports Council and will be constructing some academies in J&K to help promising cricketers.
