Srinagar, Aug 2: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that during India-Pakistan 1999 Kargil War he was ready to fight for his Country.
Senior Pakistan Journalist Saj Sadiq Tweeted a quote from Akhtar’s interview. Akhtar was quoted as saying that he left big money Contracts in English County to be ready to fight for his Country during Kargil War.
“I had signed big County contracts but I left them when Kargil happened. I stood on the outskirts of Lahore & an Army General asked me what I was doing there. I said a war is about to start and I am ready to fight for my country and die if my country needed me toto, ” Saj Sadiq Tweeted.
