Srinagar, October 20: Former J&K coach and mentor, Irfan Pathan, Tuesday welcomed JKCA’s decision to appoint Shubham Pundir as J&K’s captain and Abdul Samad his deputy for upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Pathan said the duo will take forward J&K’s cricket.
“Good to see Shubham Pundir leading and Samad his deputy of Jammu Kashmir cricket in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy, They will take J&k cricket forward!,” Pathan wrote on Twitter.
He also said that he is hopeful that Rasikh Salam would also be back soon.
“M (I’m) sure Rashik Salam will be back soon. Keep up the good Mithun Manhas. There is lot to achieve.” He added.
Mithun Manhas, the sub-committee member of JKCA, thanked Pathan for his role in J&K cricket.
