The recent central contract list revealed by both Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reveals some interesting numbers.
Below is the comparison between the two.
PAKISTAN
PCB’s annual contract comprises of three categories viz A, B and C. The salary they get is as follows:
A Category: 1.1 Million PKR (USD 6,798) monthly = 13.2 Million PKR (USD 81,576) annually
B Category: 750,000 PKR (USD 4,635) monthly = 9 Million PKR (USD 55,627) annually
C Category: 550,000 PKR (USD 3,400) monthly = 6.6 Million PKR (USD 40,793) annually
INDIA
While India has four categories viz A+, A, B and C. Here is how much the players from different categories are paid annually.
Grade A+: INR 7 crore (USD 927,336) annually
Grade A: INR 5 crore (USD 662,383) annually
Grade B: INR 3 crore (USD 397,430) annually
Grade C: INR 1 crore (USD 132,476) annually
This clearly shows a huge difference. India’s A+ players, say Virat Kohli gets a whopping salary, when compared to Pakistan’s A category players.
