Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday accorded a warm send off to J&K’s talented woman cricketer Jasia Akthar for participation in the upcoming Women’s Indian premier League (IPL) titled Women’s T20 Challenge for 2019 scheduled to be played at Jaipur in Rajasthan from May 6, 2019.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, MK Sinha while wishing Jasia all success wished her good luck on behalf of the DGP and all ranks and file of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

“It’s a matter of great pride for us that Jaisia will be representing the team in the prestigious BCCI’s 1st Edition of 3-Team IPL tournament. She has consistently performed well and is an inspiration to other women players,” Sinha was quoted as saying.

Jasia will be part of Trail Blazers which is being led by talented Indian cricketer Smriti Mandana.

Ranjeet Kalra, Advisor Sports and Youth Affairs to Lt. Governor of Lakshadweep and Member JKCA was also present on the occasion.
