J&K announces schedule for upcoming domestic tournaments

Srinagar, May 04: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Wednesday announced the schedule for its upcoming domestic tournaments that will be played after the conclusion of Talent Hunt.

The selected players in talent hunt for each category will be divided into zonal teams who will then participate in the tournament named ’Cricket for Peace’.

The tournaments will be held in both Junior (U-19, U-16 One-Dayers, Jr men 2-day) and Senior (Sr Women’s One Day, Men U-23 One Day, Sr Men One-Day, Sr Men Multi-Day) categories.

JKCA informed that the events will begin with Under-19 Women’s One-Day Tournament on May 15, which will be followed by Under-19 Men One Day on May 25, Senior Women One-Day on June 03, Under-23 Men One-Day on June 14, Senior Men One-Day on June 24 , Men Junior Multi-Days on July 5 and Men Senior Multi-Days on July 23.

The finals of U-19 Women One-Day, U-19 Men One-Day, Senior Women One-Day and U-23 Men One-Day will be held at Jammu on May 23, May 31, June 11 and June 20, respectively, while the finals of Senior Men One-Day, Men Junior Multi-Days and Men Senior Multi-Days will be held at Srinagar on June 30, July 16 and August 11 respectively.

“Former First Class Cricketer Ashwani Gupta has been nominated as the  Tournament Incharge of Jammu Province, while another Former First Class Cricketer Abdul Qayoom has been nominated as Tournament Incharge of Kashmir province including Ladakh and Roopali Slathia has be named as the Tournament Incharge for Women in both the regions and Ladakh,” informed Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA.
