Srinagar, June 29: J&K Football Association has strongly hit back at its detractors for misleading everyone and hurling baseless allegations.

Football Association on Monday issued a statement in which it has termed allegations against it’s it as totally baseless and a propaganda initiated by persons who have a agenda against JKFA.

“JKFA is thankful to all clubs and football fraternity for standing with JKFA against some disgruntled elements who are trying to tarnish image of JKFA.  These mischievous persons have hurled number of allegations against JKFA. We have faced such allegations in past which were proven baseless. They can’t disgrace JKFA members with such acts as we are focused on to work for the development of the football,” JKFA statement said.

In the statement issued JKFA said that Mufti Syed Memorial Football tournament and Khelo India tournament were conducted in transparent manner and JKFA till date has not received it’s half payment from Sports Council.

“JKFA is yet to receive full payment from J&K State Sports Council for the conduct of Mufti Sted Memorial football tournament. All accounts of JKFA including Khelo India and Mufti Syed Memorial football tournament have been audited by Chartered Accountant of JKFA as per guidelines of Sports Council and further a special audit has been conducted by the Government Finance Department and audit reports will be available soon,” JKFA statement further said said.

Taking strong strong against rebels, JKFA has warned all players and officials to stay away from anti JKFA activities and have also directed its District Football Association units to identity and take action against such persons.
