Srinagar: J&K water sports players bagged three medals in the ongoing 5th National Dragon Boat and Canoe Polo championship at Udaipur on Sunday.
J&K bagged gold in women’s canoe polo, silver medal in men’s Canoe and bronze medal in 2000-M dragon boat category. J&K will be participating in another event on Monday.
J&K is playing under J&K State Sports Council in the event. The selection of the team was also conducted by Council. Sports Council and International Water Sports coach, Miss Bilquis Mir is along with the side.
Coach hailed the performance of the players and the support of Sports Council and said, “ I am happy to see players performing like this and they once again proved that JK is power house of water sport. I am also thankful to Sports Council lead by its secretary Waheed-Ur-Rehman Parra for the all the help in making this a reality”.
