Srinagar, Sep 16: In a major development the J&K Football Association (JKFA) and it’s ‘rebel group’ National and International Footballers Forum (NIFF) are going to hold meeting today.

As per Kashmir Sports Watch sources NIFF which is being termed as rebel group of JKFA would be meeting officials of Football governing body of J&K, JKFA to discuss the various issues and sort out the differences that has lead to serious allegations and counter allegations between the two bodies.

It has been learnt that the NIFF group would be lead by former General Secretary of JKFA and who is currently main official of NIFF, Bashir Ahmad Malik and will include former International footballers Mehraj ud Din Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmad as well.

“There have been backdoor negotiations going on for sometime now to sort out the differences and it will first time that officials of these bodies will sit together face to face, ” Sources told Kashmir Sports Watch.

“While JKFA is governing body of Football in J&K, NIFF claims to have hot support of noted current and former footballers. They have levied number of allegations on JKFA and in return JKFA has also made number allegations against the members of NIFF, ” Said a source.

Sources said that both bodies intend to seek a middle way in order to sort out differences and see that Football wouldn’t suffer.
