Srinagar , 26 July 2021: J&K Football Association (JKFA) delegation on Monday , July 26 met Secretary Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, apprising her of the incident that happened during JKFA Professional League match on Saturday , July 24 at TRC Ground Srinagar.
“The Secretary JKSC had taken a serious exception to the Happening that took place during the past few days at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar during the ongoing Profession League Football Tournament 2021 conducted by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council,” reads JKFA statement issued by its General Secretary Professor Bashir.
“In this connection a delegation of J&K Football Association headed by its President called on the Secretary J&K Sports Council on 26th July 2021 and gave her a detailed account of the happenings that took place during the past few days. They apprised the Secretary that some disgruntled elements want to sabotage the ongoing Profession League Football Tournament thereby creating hurdles for the Association and the JKSC for its smooth functioning,” statement further said. “These elements always try to find fault with the functioning of the Association on one pretext or the other”.
Secretary JKSC reiterated that such kinds of act will not be tolerable and should not be repeated again. He also impressed upon that after the completion of the JKFA Calendar Activities unveiled by Advisor, the process of the JKFA Election as per the Constitution of JKFA & Guidelines of JKSC should be started subject to the outcome of the Court Case. The persons who will be found to derail the ongoing activities shall be severally dealt with, she said, JKFA statement her.
The Secretary assured the Association that she will take every step possible for the development of Sports in general & football in Particular & JKFA assured the secretary that the Association will extend full support to the Secretary JKSC to carry out all the Sports related programmes, statement added.
