Anatnag, May 8: An all-round performance by Aqib Mir on Wednesday earned KIS Professionals a big win against Litter Warriors in the ongoing Nawroz Premier League at Awantipora.
After finding luck with the coin, Warriors decided to bat first. However, the decision turned out to be disastrous as they lost some early wickets and finally, managed to score paltry 113 runs in the allotted overs.
It was largely due to some fine spell of bowling by Aqib Mir and Zubair Molvi who scalped 3 wickets each.
In reply, KIS also didn’t find best of the starts as both their openers were sent back to the pavilion early. However, skipper, Aqib Mir came to the rescue, scoring a gutsy unbeaten knock of 65 runs.
He was well supported by Wahid who chipped in with a cameo of 43 runs. The duo took KIS over the line with ease.
