Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s swashbuckling batter Abdul Samad tops the most sixes-chart of about to conclude Ranji Trophy 2019-20 with 36 clean-hits to his name.

Samad, who is the latest recruit from J&K in Indian Premier League, attracted huge crowds in usually dull looking stadiums in the multi-day-format tournament. The right-handed batsman also headlined the top-scorers list for the north Indian state in the premiere event.

He amassed 592 runs in 10 matches at a whopping strike-rate of 112.97, including a couple of centuries and three fifties. The right-handed batsman enjoys to loft everything that is in his zone.

Making most of his strong physique and distinctive skill of clearing the field with ease, Samad smashed as many as 36 sixes, which is most from all-over the country in the Ranji Trophy 2019-20.

Standing second in the chart is Meghalaya’s Sanjay Yadav who has 26 sixes under his belt. Meanwhile, Samad, after some astonishing performances in the limited-over cricket for J&K, was bought at 20lakh INR by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL Auction last year.

The Rajouri-born cricketer will be soon traveling to Hyderabad to join his team for the upcoming IPL 2020. The SRH’S pre-season camp will kick-start from 22nd March.
