The highly reckoned fast bowler and lower order pinch hitter Jofra Archer is all set to make is England international debut in Friday’s ODI against Ireland in Dublin. This was confirmed by England captain Eoin Morgan.

The 24-year-old Barbados-born all-rounder was left out of England ICC World Cup-2019 squad but was called into a senior England squad for the first time after qualifying on residency grounds.

The all-rounder who plays for Sussex has been eligible for England debut but was not granted direct entry in World Cup team. Instead Archer has been handed lifeline of making it to the team by handing him matches in pre world cup matches against Ireland and Pakistan.

After Ireland Archer will be part of a five-match series against Pakistan but before that Archer will aim to make a strong first impression at Malahide.

“He obviously brings a lot of excitement, along with skill level,” captain Morgan told Sky Sports News.

“He’s been around for the last few years, I’ve played against him, he’s bowled extremely well when I’ve played against him.
