Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute defeated RP School by nine wickets in the match of the Kashmir Harvard U-16 Inter-School cricket tournament at TRC Ground Srinagar on Tuesday.IMG-20180605-WA0039

With this win Kashmir Harvard has booked place in the semifinal of the event. Batting first RP School got off to a worst possible start with half of their batsman back in pavilion for the score of 15 runs. On the score of 20 RP School were six wickets down. It looked like that they will bundle out cheaply. But the lower order resistance carried total to 91 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sibtain with 25 was highest scorer for them while as Manan scored 16. Faiq took three wickets for Harvard while as Sarib, Sahil and Kaleem took one wicket each.

In reply Kashmir Harvard didn’t had to sweat hard as they achieved required total for the loss of only one wicket in 12 overs. Asrar with 33 was highest scorer for them while as Yasir remained unbeaten on 26. For RP, Amir took one wicket. Faiq was adjudged as man of the match.

The second scheduled quarterfinal of the day between Green Valley and Khanam’s School couldn’t be held due to bad weather.

The event is being organized by State Cricket Academy of Sports Council in collaboration with Amblin and is sponsored by Kashmir Harvard, J&K Bank and Unibic Biscuits.
