Jaipur, January 16: An unreal spell of fast-bowling by Owais Baba on Sunday steered Sahara Club Gulgam to the finals of the ongoing Kashmir Cricket League as they defeated Kashmir XI Cricket club in a one-sided contest, here.
After being invited to bat first, Kashmir XI Cricket Club never got going as they had no answer to Owais Baba’s ruthless spell of pace bowling and were eventually bundled out on a mere total of 45 runs. Owais Baba was the wrecker-in-cheif for Gulgam as he claimed 6 wickets in his spell, giving away just 7 runs off his four overs (4-0-7-6).
Chasing the small target, Sahara Club wasted no time as they chased down the score in just 2.1 overs(46/0 in 2.1 overs). Shubham Patwal scored unbeaten 43 runs off 13 balls.
Lastly, Owais Baba was adjudged as the player of the match for his match-winning bowling spell.
Sahara Club Gulgam will now lock horns with Hooked Kashmir in the grand finale of the tournament.
