Khelo India Wushu Womens League in Srinagar from tomorrow

Srinagar: The four day Khelo India Women’s League Wushu North Zone Tournament will be held at SKISC Stadium from 4th – 7th Nov-2022.

Approximately (500) Women Athletes of 08th States/UT’s i.e. Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Ladakh, Uttrakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi Teams are in the North Zone, will participating in the Championship.

The SAI & MYAS are determined to promote women Athlete in all sports across the country and organizing Zonal/National Khelo India Women’s League.

Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gull has congratulated Wushu Association of India and J&K for organizing the Khelo India Wushu Womens Championship in Srinagar.

It is a great initiative and concept to promote Womens Athletes across India. I am really overwhelmed That Wushu Association of India has allotted Khelo India North Zone Womens League & Khelo India National Wushu Women’s League to Wushu Association of J&K. National League will be held in Jammu in the month of December-2022. A cash award to the tune of Rs. 40 Lakhs, will be awarded to the different weight category among the 03 division of the league.

Women Athletes of J&K are excited that Khelo India Womens League North Zone and National League will be held in Jammu & Kashmir. It is a great platform for the women athletes Sadia Tariq, Kaifa Shah, Munazah Gazi, Ayera & Ana Chesti, Aliza Shah, Riya Chib, Heena and Madhya to exhibit their best to achieve the Yellow Medal.
