Gulmarg : On the third day of the ongoing mega event, first Khelo India Winter Games 2020, skiing events were in full swing while as competitions of Snow Rugby, Snow Baseball, Ice Stock , Ice Hockey, Ski Mountaineering concluded on Monday here at Gulmarg.
The event is organised by Winter Games Association of J&K and J&K State Sports Council saw competitions of almost all sports deciplines held at various venues of Gulmarg and upper reaches of Kongdoori.
The prize distributions for various events was also held during the day with Director General Youth Services and Sports Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Secretary Sports Council Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, Manager J&K Cable Car Corporation Suhail Ahmed, Assitant Director Tourism Gulmarg Nasir Mehmood being the guests. They distributed prizes amoung the winners.

In Snow Shoe senior long distance run, medals were presented to Suhail Nisar, Muzamil Hussain and Umer Farooq respectivley while as in junior SnowShoe run, medals were presented to Ayaan Bin Shahnaz, Maqsood Sofi and Haadi were presented medals.
In Ice Hockey, J&K Blue emerged out as winner while as JK Red bagged second place. In Ski Mountaneering Vertical Race, Waseem Ahmad, Naseer Ahmad and Yawar Javied bagged first three places while as in vertical event, Gulam Mohd Wani, Firsdous Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad bagged first three places respectivley.
In Ice Stock Long Tajamul, Saigagan bagged fisrt and second places respectivley while as Akas and Sanam shared third place. In girls section, Manali and Urvashi bagged first two positions respectivley. P Subrajee and Damini shared third place.
In Ice Stock team men event, Maharashtra and J&K bagged first two places respectivley while as Delhi and Jharkhand shared third place. In womens team event,Maharashtra and J&K bagged first two places respectivley while as Haryana and Jharkhand shared third place.
In Cross-Country men skiing, Rameez Ahmad, Manbahadur and Padma Namgyal bagged first three positions while as in women section Vikas Rana, Lodol and Bhaeni bagged first three places respectivley.
On the third day of the competition, majority of the skiing events were held at Kongdori with an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level. The competitions at Kongdoori were flagged off by Secretary Sports Council in presence of President Winter Games Association of J&K Mohammad Abbas Wani and General Secretary Mohammad Yusuf.
The Alpine ski competitions were held in Gulmarg bowl under the supervision of Olympian Gul Mustafa.
In C1 Boys Slalom, Syed Zain, Ruman Ul Madni, both of J&K and Sahil Thakur of HP bagged first three positions respectivley. In C1 girls slalom Mehak Kanwar of Uttarakhand, Saj Kaur of J&K and Fatima Wali of J&K bagged first three positions respectivley. In C2 boys Slalom, Faizan Fayaz, Amir Bashir and Azhar Fayaz bagged first three positions respectivley.
In C2 Girls Slalom, Ridah Altaf, Warda and Rubab Ali Punjabi bagged first three positions respectivley.
In Snow Rugby womens competition, Karnataka bagged first place while as Punjab and J&K bagged second and third places respectivley.
