The former legendary footballer of State and India football team skipper Abdul Majeed Kakroo has said that the star player duo of State have failed in their duty to guide youngsters of State.

Kakroo who is currently coach of J&K Power Development Corporation football team said these words during the interview with Kashmir sports Watch on the new episode of Game Talk.

The former J&K Bank coach while talking about the decline of football standard in State praised the International footballer Mehraj ud din Wadoo and Ishfaq Ahmed but also blamed for the lack of commitment towards State.

“They are very good footballers and made name for themselves at national level. But when it comes to state they have failed to do their services of guiding youngsters. After them we have not seen any top level player and some of the blame goes to them as they failed to guide youngsters,” Kakroo said while talking about Wadoo and Ishfaq.

Kakroo said that he is proud of real Kashmir FC and with their brilliant performance all Kashmir’s can walk with their heads held high in national football arena.

“They have made all of us proud and we are proud of them. I pray we see more such teams emerge in future and with that football will get back on track in State,” he said.
