Chennai Super Kings Sunday agreed to remove the alcohol logo from Mooen Ali’s jersey as the England cricketer had asked for the removal, owing to his religious beliefs.

CSK will be donning a SNJ 10000 logo, an alcohol brand, on their jersey in the upcoming edition of IPL and Mooen wanted its removal.

Respecting his religious belief, the franchise has agreed to not have the logo on his jersy, India Today reported on Sunday.

After representing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last few seasons, the all-rounder was signed by Chennai in the 2021 auction.

Mooen has, over the years, several times said no to promotion of alcoholic brands, be it while representing England or any other domestic team.
