The camp will include top 25 Under-16 level cricketers from all over country and it will start from August 21. Mujtaba has got his place in the camp on the basis of his performance in the Inter-Zone cricket tournament where in he had represented North Zone. In the event Mujtaba bowled brilliantly taking four wickets in one match and two in another. Earlier he had played brilliantly for J&K in Under-16 tournament.

A felicitation ceremony was held for Mujtaba at the Government Higher Secondary School ground, Bijbehara. Among others top cricketer of State Parvez Rasool was also present on the occasion.

Bijbehara Sports Club has given State some of the stalwarts in cricket like Abdul Qayoom Bagaw, Parveez Rasool, Aqib Mir and Asif Rasool.

Parvez while hailing Mujtaba said that he is the future of J&K cricket and will make name for himself in national arena.

“This youngster is full of talent and needs encouragement and proper guidance. So far his journey is smooth and he is letting his performance do the talking. In NCA he will learn lot of new things and will sharpen his skills,” Parvez said.

“I have been seeing Mujtaba from very young age owing to being a Bijbehara local. He works very hard and whenever he has got the chance he has proven his mettle. To first perform for J&K and then get North Zone selection is no mean feat. Then he again played in zonal event and again proved that he has got the talent,” he added.
