Srinagar: Pakistan young pacer Naseem Shah bowled at sizzling pace in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League on Saturday while Mohammad Rizwan scored unbeaten fifty in Comilla Victorians’ victory over Khulna Tigers.

After Tigers won the toss and decided to bowl first, Victorians posted 165-2 in their allotted 20 overs.

Openers Litton Das, 50 runs off 42 balls, and Rizwan, unbeaten 54 runs in 47 balls, did the bulk of the scoring by notching up fifties.For Tigers, Wahab Riaz and Nahidul Islam claimed one wicket each.

While chasing the 166-run target, the Tigers were restricted to 161-6 in 20 overs and lost the match by four runs.

Pakistan youngster Naseem Shah dismissed Tamim Iqbal in his first spell to provide his side with an early breakthrough. The Pakistani speedster also cleaned up Shai Hope in the penultimate over of the innings after the latter had scored 33 runs in 32 balls. Shah ended with figures of 2-29 in four overs. He bowled at extreme pace , touching the speeds of 150kph.

Meanwhile Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that it has recalled the players from the BPL, who will be playing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight, due to the request of the franchises.

The players have been advised to return home on February 2, eleven days before the PSL 8 begins in Multan.
