Srinagar, November 26: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) while instructing it’s players to follow all COVID-19 SOP’s and has also revealed that New Zealand Goverment has warned them that if more violations happen whole team can be sent back.

PCB CEO Wasim Khan in an audio message to the Pakistan squad, urged them to follow SOPs after six members of the 54-member contingent tested positive for COVID-19 while there have been breaches on the first day of isolation.

“We have been informed by the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) about three to four violations of SOPs, which is why we have asked the team to adhere to the rules and regulations,” Wasim said.

Wasim emphasized that it would be an insult for Pakistan, if the cricket team end up coming back from New Zealand.

“There is a zero-tolerance policy from the New Zealand government and they have warned for one last time. If there are any other violations, entire Pakistan squad will be sent back,” he added.

“I know its difficult to stay indoors but please stick to mandatory isolation period for next 14 days. It is a matter of pride and respect,” he maintained.

After reports of COVID-10 SOP violations from Pakistan team members emerged the entire squad received ‘final warning’ from New Zealand Goverment.

Out of six positive resullts, two of these have been deemed ‘historical’ while four have been confirmed as new. The team will not be able to train until investigations are completed.
