Neymar close to a world-record transfer to Paris Saint Germain

InternationalNeymar close to a world-record transfer to Paris Saint Germain

Paris, July 22: If reports in France are believed to be true, we could be witnessing the biggest deal in the history of football in the coming days as Neymar is said to be close to his world-record move to Paris Saint Germain. All leagues special site The Brazilian superstar has already told his Barcelona teammates that he will be joining Paris Saint Germain this summer, according to reports.brazil-neymar

French publication ‘Le Parisien’ claims that several Barcelona players have been made aware of the Brazil international’s decision, while some of Barcelona’s hierarchy are also resigned to the fact that the forward will be leaving Camp Nou.
Earlier this week, reports in Brazil claimed that Neymar had agreed a contract with the French capital club which will see him earn a mammoth €30m (£26.6m) a year. PSG are willing to activate Neymar’s €222 million (£197m) release clause, which means that Barcelona would be powerless to prevent the transfer, and the decision now rests with the Brazil forward and his father, who have held talks with the French club’s sporting director Antero Henrique this week. On Thursday (July 20) evening, Catalunya Radio reported that there was a ’95 percent’ chance of Neymar joining PSG. Neymar is currently in the United States for the start of Barcelona’s pre-season campaign and reports in Spain have claimed that teammate Luis Suarez has failed to convince Neymar to turn down a move to France. But, it seems that Neymar will push for the world-record move ahead of the new campaign. Behind the scenes at Barcelona, Neymar is reportedly unhappy with the lack of Brazilian influence in the dressing room and had even urged the club to sign Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho. Barcelona’s latest approach for Coutinho has been turned down by Liverpool while PSG have a host of Brazilian players who can make Neymar feel at home, including a very close friend, Dani Alves, who recently moved to the Ligue 1 club following his release from Juventus.

The 25-year-old is also keen to leave Barcelona in order to become the leading star of a team, something which he feels he is unable to do alongside Lionel Messi at Camp Nou. It will truly be a move that will create history and could define the next era of football which would be driven by crazy money.
