
Srinagar, Oct 11: The newly formed football academy NITians’ (NFA) was officially launched on Sunday in a function held at Elahibagh Ground , Housing Colony Elahibagh Srinagar.
The first of its kind professional football academy in the area was inaugurated by Fayaz Ahmed Sofi (President, DFA Srinagar) along with other guests present.

Abdul Majeed Kakroo ( Ex International Footballer), Mushtaq Ahmed Kanth (Member JKFA), Mohammed Iqbal Bhat (Asst.Organising Secretary JKFA), Masood Iqbal (AFCC C Licenced Coach), Mohammed Hanief (AFC-C licenced Coach), Zahid (Football Coach), Bilal Ahmed Panjabi( Asst. General Secretary JKFA), Riyaz Ahmed Mahajan (President Welfare Committee), Mohammed Maqbool Bhat (President Masjid Committee) we’re also present on the occasion.
Zahoor Ahmed Telli (Member JKFA) who is the chief coach of NITians’ Football Academy couldn’t made it due to his health.

Guests spoke in detail about need of professional academy and stress was laid on facilities to be made available to Footballers.

Fayaz Ahmed Sofi reiterated the full support to academy for its development.

The academy is powered by Sha Jee’ Shah Jewelers, Ganderpora, Eidgah and New Asian Motors, Karan Nagar, Sgr. Zahoor Ahmed Shah represented Shah Jewelers and Shayan Qazi represented New Asian Motors.
