
Srinagar , Sep 10: It has been more than decade since Pakistan great Wasim Akram retired from International cricket, but the mark he left is still there and inspiring lot of upcoming and current generation of pace bowlers.
New Zealand left arm pacer Trent Boult is latest to admit that Wasim Akram is his idol and inspired him to swing the ball.
On Wednesday, Trent held a Question and Answer session to interact with his fans and followers on Instagram. He was asked about his inspiration to become a fast bowler.

The 31-year-old further answered ” have a lot of idols but this guy definitely inspired me to swing the ball! No one could move the ball like he could!”
Wasim Akram featured in 104 Tests and took 414 wickets at an average of 23.62. He is also the second-highest wicket-taker in ODI history as he claimed 502 wickets in 356 matches at an average of 23.52.
Boult, the number one ranked ODI bowler has picked 470 wickets in all three formats since his debut in 2011.
