Once a war horse now not even a contender, Abid Nabi hits out at selectors

Abid Nabi the guy who once almost made it to the national side is now even struggling to get in probables of State team.abid-nabi-1

Since his stint of playing now-defunct ICL, Abid Nabi faced downfall in his career. The fiery tall pacer who used to clock at 90-miles is now not even in competition of State team selection.

Yesterday after JKCA announced squad for upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, Abid found himself again out of the team.

Completely dejected, Abid called on lashed out at selectors for unfair selection,

“They (selectors) have made it clear that they won’t pick me in team doesn’t matter how good I perform. I have been ignored time and again for nothing but having gone over 30”, he said.

“I didn’t get the fair chances to prove myself in trial matches. Selectors made sure I don’t get to bat or bowl enough. They asked captain to remove soon after I bowled a couple of overs. In batting I was sent at number 10,” he added.

He feels selectors take themselves as dictators,

“Selectors used to interrupt during matches and made changes in bowling and batting from outside. I was never given 3 overs in a row nor was given the chance to bat,” he further said.

Look at the team they have selected where some players have been preferred despite failing repeatedly.

“Leave me, there are other deserving players as well who should have been part of J&K. Selectors are not doing justice with their job. In the team announced every cricket follower can notice who shouldn’t be in team and still they have been kept in,” he added.
