Having missed most of the last eight months or so with injury and fitness issues Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali is likely going to be out of cricket action for another 5-6 months. Due to the same reason Pakistan Cricket Board in the recently announced central contracts omitted Hasan Ali’s name.

According to the Pakistan’s Urdu Daily Jung report, head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has said that Hasan had been feeling discomfort since April 30, adding that he may have sustained the injury while playing in the now-suspended Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. PCB looking for the option of surgery in Australia for the pacer.

Hasan now has an almost year-long history of back injuries, which have kept him out of the side and even when playing he did not look his best.

The bowler is currently undergoing treatment but could be sent abroad in a bid to find relief. 

The news comes after the 25-year-old was denied central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday due to him missing most of the season owing to his fitness issues.
