Pakistan young pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah along with senior pacer Imran Khan (SR) have resumed their training at Landi Kotal, KPK Pakistan. It will be after more than two months of gap that cricketers would be seen training after halt initiated by global pandemic of Coronavirus. Recently England were seen having resumed their training.

In the Instagram post, shared by Imran Khan pacers were seen training and they were also joined by Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman.

Bowlers were seen working on their fitness and rhythm to get ready as according to new guidelines, bowlers will have to train for at least two months in order to play Test cricket.

The selection committee led by former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq is likely to announce the players for training camp on Wednesday. 18 centrally contracted and emerging players will be invited for the camp.

Board officials will inform head coach Misbah about the final number of players in the training camp. Misbah has contacted his fellow selectors and they have been directed to prepare the initial names for the training camp.

Pertinently ECB had convinced PCB after positive talks over biosecurity arrangements during the tour. ECB proposed to start the series with the first Test from August 5 instead of July 30.

A squad of 25 players, both for Tests and T20Is, will arrive in England via chartered plan earlier in July, and players will remain in quarantine for 14 days before going out for training.
