Srinagar, June 29: The 20 member Pakistan cricket team players and 11 member support staff have reached Manchester England as part of the Pakistan’s tour of England for playing Test and T20 series.
Team had boarded chartered flight from Lahore and were seen following all safety protocols like wearing masks maintaining social distance.
Pakistan left out 10 players from the original announced list after they tested positive for COVID-19. The players who tested Postive included senior cricketer Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz.
Though six out of 10 tested negative for Coronavirus in second test conducted but they can be part of second batch only after their consecutive test returns negative.
The 20-member squad, including 11 support staff officials, will be placed under a 14-day quarantine period in Worcester before shifting base to Derbyshire’s Incora County Ground on July 13.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has made special arrangements for their coronavirus testing before they go on a 14-day isolation period, during which they will be allowed to train.
The six cricketers who were tested negative were Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Wahab Riaz.
The cricketers who were once again tested positive for Covid-19 were Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Kashif Bhatti and Imran Khan.
