Srinagar: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has praised star cricketer of Kashmir, Parvez Rasool ahead of Team India’s first T20 International against England on January 26 at Kanpur.

Speaking with media ahead of the start of T20 series against visiting side, Kohli spoke on various subjects and answered questions. However, for the cricket fans of Kashmir, one particular question regarding inclusion of two new spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Parvez Rasool in Team India is of importance.Parvez Kohli

Kohli termed Parvez Rasool as smart cricketer who can be bowl anywhere during inning.

“The guys who are coming in they have done pretty well in the IPL and domestic T20s. They have been economical and bowled in all the right areas. Chahal, obviously, everyone has seen his performances. Rasool, too, played under me in the RCB, so I’ve seen the way he bowls. He is pretty confident. He can bowl with the new ball even against the most attacking batsmen in the world. These are two who have been pretty smart with their bowling, they can build up pressure by bowling dot balls, that can actually get you wickets. This is a breakthrough series for both of them and might be the perfect opportunity for them to seal their spots as the T20 specialists the Indian cricket side will have in the future,” Kohli said.

These words from the modern day great are definitely going to boost the morale of Parvez Rasool before the start of the series.

Parvez himself had recently said that he is now much improved bowler than what he was three years ago. Currently Parvez is in good form with solid Ranji season behind his back. He also recently did well for India-A against England , picking three important wickets.
