Srinagar, June 28: J&K senior cricket team’s skipper, Parvez Rasool, Saturday said that he was shocked to know about the cricket betting incidents unfolding in Kashmir.
Soon after the social media reports claimed that top-level cricketers are playing bet matches at several places, their was uproar as people expressed shock and anger.
Taking note of such incidents, the only international cricketer of J&K said this should stop soon.
“When I came to know about a person selling jewelry to bet on a match, I was shocked. It is big issue and should be stopped immediately,” Parvez Rasool was quoted as saying by Greater Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) also warned the players, saying if any of of the registered cricketers were found involved in cricket betting, they will be banned.
