Today in the ongoing Prince Memorial Invitational cricket tournament Palhallan, 2nd quarterfinal  was played between Palhallan Stars and Victoria Tangmarg.Pattan

Victoria Tangmarg won the toss and decided to bat first. Victoria Tangmarg didn’t start well by losing the opener batsman in the very first over and by the end of Powerplay Victoria were 47-3. And throughout in the rest of their innings Victoria couldn’t pull off the good partnership and subsequently Victoria ended up 98-10 in 21.2 overs out of 22 overs in total. Showket was the only Star player by scoring 25 from 30 balls. From Palhallan Stars all of their bowlers contributed by picking wickets for their team and the significant one was Aijaz bhat who I’m his 4 overs picked up 2 wickets and giving away 15 runs.

The target was mere 99 in 22 overs. Palhallan Stars openers got off to great start ending up 57-0 in their Powerplay overs.  Palhallan Stars won by 8 wickets, finishing their target in just 14 overs.  The main scorers were Muneer and Gulzar who scored 26 and 56 respectively.

Gulzar( Lala) was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 56 match winning knock.
