Afridi who joined Gladiators after leaving Multan Sultans tested positive for COVID-19 on January 27 and was in quarantine. He became asymptomatic earlier but will spend a further three days in the bio-bubble before being available for selection, CricWick Reported.
Report further said that Afridi stayed at home after suffering from a back injury and was recovering from the virus during the last week.
Gladiators have participated in two matches in the PSL 7 thus far and won one game. Quetta are currently playing against Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans at Karachi.
Quetta Gladiators were not far away from their best in their opening Pakistan Super League (PSL) clash against Peshawar Zalmi and they took plenty of positives in the close contest. They bagged a rather comfortable win against Karachi Kings and are likely to stick with the winning combination.
