The second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL2) is set to begin February 9, 2017, with a final match to be held in Lahore on March 7, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a press release on Wednesday.
PSL2 will be held in Dubai and Sharjah, the PCB said, with all five teams returning to Pakistan to fight for the winner’s trophy.
The final in Lahore will pave the way for the return of world-class cricket to Pakistan, the PCB said. The match, however, appears to be subject to security clearance, according to the tournament schedule.
The tournament will commence with a grand opening ceremony in Dubai on Feb 9, and will be followed by the first match of the season between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, the PCB said.
The number of match days have been increased from 16 to 18 days for the second tournament.
