Srinagar, Dec 26: Noted sports adminstrator and former J&K cricketer, Ranjeet Kalra represented J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) in the high profile Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday.
The 89th AGM of BCCI was held in Ahmedabad which was chaired by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.
JKCA had deputed Ranjeet Kalra to represent it in the meeting. It was second consecutive time that Kalra represented JKCA in the meeting. Previously Kalra has been part of various BCCI committees.
During AGM BCCI took various groundbreaking decisions like, increasing the number of teams in IPL to 10, unveiling new selection committee and also reimbursement to domestic cricketers in case domestic season is shortened .
Day before the AGM, a friendly cricket match was held between Jay Shah-XI and Ganguly-XI. Kalra was part of Jay Shah-XI that emerged winner in the match.
