Jammu, April 17: J&K’s known sports promoter and administrator Ranjeet Kalra Saturday welcomed BCCI’s decesion to appoint its vice-president Rajeev Sukhla and treasurer Arun Dhumal as the ad-hoc committee members for development of Cricket and to look after the affairs of JKCA.
Kalra, in a statement issued to the media, said,” It’s a welcome initiative by the BCCI.
I thank worthy President Sourav Ganguly, Hon Secretary Jay Shah and other members of the Apex Council for the appointment of an ad-hoc committee consisting of two most experienced cricket administrators of the country who also hold important offices in the BCCI,”
“I am sure their vast and rich experience shall prove to be a blessing for J&K and hopefully we shall see better and brighter days for cricket in the Union Territory,”
Kalra said both of them are experienced administrators and can bring a change to the overall development of J&K cricket.
“Both Rajeev Sukhla and Thakur Arun Singh are progressive and visionary cricket leaders their extra ordinary work for promotion of cricket in their respective States UP and Himachal Pradesh and in the BCCI stands widely appreciated.” Kalra, a former J&K cricketer, said.
