Srinagar, Dec 20: SD Chauhan, Kathan D Patel and PK Panchal scored magnificent half-centuries in Gujarat’s first innings score of 267/6 on day-1 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad today.

Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Gujarat openers began cautiously and made an opening partnership of 106 runs in 33.3 overs before skipper PK Panchal was dismissed at his individual score of 52 runs off 107 balls, studded with 8 boundaries. Another opening batter-Kathan D Patel also scored 54 runs off 132 balls with the help of 9 fours. SD Chauhan top scored with 73 runs off 100 balls, studded with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

MA Hingragia (14) and CT Gaja (7) were at the crease at the draw of stumps today.
For J&K, left-arm spinner Abid Mushtaq took 3 wickets by conceding 88 runs in his 32 overs, while right-arm off-spinner Sahil Lotra took 2 wickets in his 21 overs, giving away 58 runs.
