Srinagar, February 13: J&K’s opening batsman Jiyaad Magrey on Thursday faced a minor injury as he was hit on head while fielding against Haryana on day-two of Ranji Trophy match at Jammu.
Magrey, who was fielding at mid-wicket, tried to stop the ball, however, the ‘uneven’ bounce of the surface became a roadblock as he ended up getting hit on head.
According to the team sources, he is now ‘completely okay and can bat tomorrow.’ Meanwhile, the hosts ended day-two magnificently as they folded Haryana on 291 runs to take 49-run lead.
Debutant Mujtaba Yousuf was the star performer, bagging a six-wicket haul. Earlier, J&K made 340 runs in first innings.
