Srinagar, February 12: Young Mujtaba Yousuf is making his Ranji Trophy debut as J&K decides to bat first in the ongoing round-nine match against Haryana at Jammu.

The hosts didn’t find a very good start, however, the duo of Shubham Pundir and Shubham Khajuria made sure to not let Haryana take the control. The former scored comfortable 62 runs before being sent back.

Pundir though is still at crease, having already crossed 50-run mark. Apart from them, skipper Parvez Rasool made quick 49 runs off 54 balls to steer his team to 200-run mark.

When this report was being filed, J&K were 230/5 in 58.4 overs with Fazil Rashid and Pundir at crease. Meanwhile, the hosts rested the pace-bowling duo of Mohammed Mudhasir and Umar Nazir for the match, giving Mujtaba Yousuf and Ram Daya a chance to make it to the XI.
