Srinagar, February 07: J&K’s mentor Irfan Pathan, who has been highly criticised for not accompanying the team in Ranji Trophy, on Thursday lauded Parvez Rasool and Co. after their terrific win against Tripura.
The former Indian all-rounder posted a screenshot of Group C points table, appreciating J&K for being at top.
Naming the top performers of match, Irfan wrote on his official Twitter handle, “Sitting on top always feel preetier. Well done boys #parvezrasool #shubhamkhajuria #aquibnabi #abidmushtaq #team #jammukashmir #ranjitrohpy”
The Baroda-born recently returned from New Zealand, where he was a part of Star Sports’ commentary panel. He has been rarely seen in J&K dugout this season, arising questions about his role in the team.
However, Pathan had said in an interview that he was out on commentary gig only after getting approval from JKCA.
